Answer to a Question

Those who Leave and the Delay of Victory!

Question: I apologize if there is any sensitivity in this question, especially the second part, but it has been recurring in my mind for some time... In any case, if there is an answer, that is good; if not, that is also fine. I realize that the one being asked is better able than the questioner to judge the appropriate circumstances for an answer in such a case... My question has two parts:

As for the first part: The Party has spent more than 60 years working under difficult circumstances that few groups have ever faced. Not all the shabab (members) may be able to carry this trust, so some of them leave... Why are their circumstances not appreciated and excuses sought for them, instead of taking "non-calm" stances toward those who leave?

The second part of the question is: Doesn't these long years without reaching the goal mean a lack of proficiency in seeking Nusrah (material support for governance)?

I repeat what I said at the beginning: I appreciate the sensitivity of the question, especially the second part... If there is an answer, that is good; if not, then that is fine... I ask while my heart is full of love for the Party, and I see the correctness of its idea and method. I desire nothing but good from this question, not confusion or disruption... and Allah knows the deception of the eyes and what the hearts conceal. Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of Allah.

Answer: Walaikum Assalam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.

Yes, there is sensitivity in the second part of the question... Perhaps the appropriate place is not in a published answer to a question but in a meeting... But may Allah destroy the oppressive tyrants who pursue the word of truth and its people wherever they are... while leaving evil and its people to roam and play freely...

In any case, this is the biography of the callers to the truth from the Prophets and the righteous in all eras where tyrants, oppressors, and the ruwaybidah (ignorant men speaking on public affairs) prevail... but the final outcome is for the righteous.

We have previously addressed such questions, whether implicitly or explicitly, but from people who hate Islam and its followers. They do not ask to know the truth, but only to cause confusion and serve the devils among mankind and their followers for the sake of some worldly gain... We did not busy ourselves with answering them because they do not ask to know the truth so that the answer would benefit them. Rather, they ask for the sake of dispute and to twist words from their places to incite fitnah, without realizing that they have been overturned into fitnah! For this reason, we did not pay attention to their questions.

However, in your question, I noticed a sincere tone, polite inquiry, and good speech. Therefore, I will answer you with a sufficient measure, Allah willing, especially regarding the second part of the question, without entering into details that are not appropriate here. I say, and success is from Allah:

1- Answer to the first part of the question:

The phrase "non-calm" stances as mentioned in the question is unclear. Perhaps what is meant are specific cases of some of those who leave, with whom we do not sympathize nor pay any mind due to their bad actions... If what I understood is correct, then the matter is as follows:

We understand that a member may be unable to carry the burdens of the dawah due to personal circumstances, especially in this time when the dawah is surrounded by accumulated difficulties, one on top of another. The weight of carrying the dawah may burden some members, so they fall behind in carrying it and weaken before its difficulties, and the love of this world and its adornment overcomes the pleasure of Allah and the love of the Hereafter... If you ask him why he left, he tells you the truth: that he is in circumstances that do not enable him to carry the dawah, and he will try to overcome them to return again, Allah willing... We understand the reality of these people, maintain a good relationship with them, and pray that Allah guides them to the best of their affairs so they return to carrying the dawah and compensate for the sin of their sitting by their good deeds; for good deeds erase bad deeds, Allah willing.

As for those with whom "we do not sympathize nor pay any mind due to their bad actions"—which you called in your question "non-calm stances"—they are those who deviate and leave, and instead of seeking Allah's forgiveness and repenting to Him to compensate for their sitting and deviation with good deeds and good words, they instead justify their sitting and deviation by hurling fabricated accusations against the Party, its leadership, and its officials... They find lying easy, while it is a major sin in the Law of Allah... Muslim narrated in his Sahih: ... Al-A'mash narrated to us from Shaqiq from Abdullah who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"...And beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man continues to tell lies and strives to lie until he is recorded with Allah as a liar." (Narrated by Muslim)

Despite this, they fabricate and lie! Such a person does not just leave and find rest and give rest to others, as the saying goes, but begins to publish "black pages" of falsehood and slander... These are the ones with whom we do not sympathize nor pay any mind due to their bad actions...

As for those who are truthful in saying that they are too weak for this heavy burden due to their circumstances, we understand their situation, speak kindly to them, and help them if we can to overcome those circumstances...

Here is an incident to which I was a witness:

When I was an official in some countries, a message came to me from our second leader (Sheikh Abdul Qadeem Zallum), may Allah have mercy on him, asking me to meet one of those who had left and discuss his return because the man was previously, as far as we knew, of the best in awareness and understanding... So I went to him:

I said, "Why don't you return to the Party?" He said, "O Abu Yasin, I am not strong enough for this heavy burden. I was arrested and could not bear it for even a few days, so I denounced the Party and left. I realized that my capability is weaker than this heavy burden..." Although I did not succeed in convincing him to return, he remained a supporter of the Party and was not hostile to it... Someone like this, who speaks the truth, we respect and pray for his well-being... As for the one who justifies his weakness by accusing others, saying he left because official so-and-so was such-and-such, hurling accusations at him unjustly and with fabrication, thinking he is doing well...! Instead of seeking Allah's forgiveness and repenting to Him, you see him, while having left, showing hostility and fabrication against the Party and its leadership without fear of Allah, the Avenger, the All-Powerful... Such people who leave do not deserve to have an excuse sought for them; rather, yes, we do not sympathize with them nor pay them any mind due to their bad actions.

2- As for the second part of the question:

Before I answer you, I will preface the answer with some information about the Prophet's ﷺ seeking of Nusrah:

After the death of the Mother of the Believers, Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was a great support for him ﷺ, and then the death of Abu Talib, the Prophet's uncle who protected him from the harm of the Quraysh—which was in the tenth year of the Mission and was called the Year of Sorrow... after that, Allah (swt) honored His Messenger ﷺ with two great things: the Night Journey and Ascension (Isra and Mi'raj), and the permission to seek Nusrah... So the Prophet ﷺ sought Nusrah more than ten times from Thaqif, Bani Amir, Bani Shayban, Bani Hanifah... etc., and not one of them responded to him ﷺ. Rather, some of them rejected the Prophet ﷺ in a terrible manner and made his blood flow ﷺ... Later, he ﷺ sent Mus'ab to Madinah, and Allah opened it through him. A group of the people of power and protection from the Ansar responded to him and came to Makkah during the season and gave the pledge of Nusrah, the Second Pledge of 'Aqabah. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ migrated to Madinah, and the State was established.

The question: Was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not proficient in seeking Nusrah, and therefore was not responded to? Or was Mus'ab more proficient in seeking Nusrah than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? The answer is certainly "No." Rather, for every matter there is a decreed time.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا

"Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent." (Surah At-Talaq [65]: 3)

And we, my brother, follow the example of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. We strive and exert ourselves in seeking Nusrah, and we follow up the seeking with proficiency and excellence to the best of our ability, relying on Allah (swt) in all matters, scrutinizing and examining it to be certain of executing the command correctly, Allah willing...

But we continue on this path with two things in our hearts and minds:

The first is that no matter how excellent the work for establishing the Khilafah is, it is Allah, the Almighty and All-Powerful, who decides when and where its establishment will be...

The second is that the Sunnah of Allah requires that the Khilafah will not be established at the hands of the lazy and those who sit back, nor will angels descend from the sky to work to establish the Khilafah on our behalf. Rather, it is established, by Allah's permission, by the hands of the working, serious, and diligent believers who, if Allah hastens the victory for them, are among the grateful, and if it is delayed, they are among the patient, without despairing of Allah's mercy and without falling back from working to establish Allah's rule until Allah's command comes while they are in that state...

Summary:

1- It is not necessarily the case that the delay of victory in establishing the Khilafah is because the seeking of Nusrah was not performed proficiently. The Prophet ﷺ sought Nusrah more than ten times and was not responded to, and he ﷺ performed the work with the highest level of excellence... while Mus'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) was responded to, even though he did not perform the work as perfectly as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed it... So, for every matter there is a decreed time.

2- We, Allah willing, understand matters as they are and follow them in a good manner... We work with our hearts at peace regarding the realization by the Almighty, the All-Wise, for us what He (swt) realized for our brothers who preceded us in faith:

وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنْتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَآوَاكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِهِ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

"And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might snatch you away, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful." (Surah Al-Anfal [8]: 26)

So it is not only that He "shelters us," but also "supports us with His victory" and "provides us with good things." All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

In conclusion, I send my greetings of peace to the questioner and pray for his well-being.
