Question:

The Bahrain Economic Conference concluded its work today under the management of Kushner. In his opening speech in Manama, he stated: ("The Bahrain workshop is not the ‘Deal of the Century,’ but the ‘Opportunity of the Century’"... Sputnik Arabic on 25/06/2019). Is this conference part of the Deal of the Century? Or is it a separate project as Kushner claimed? Why hasn't the content of the deal been revealed? Are there any leaks regarding it? And what is its likelihood of success? May Allah reward you with goodness.

Answer:

To clarify the answer, the following points must be explained:

First: The Bahrain Conference:

  1. (The White House announced yesterday evening that it will hold an economic "workshop" in the Bahraini capital, Manama, late next month, during which it will announce the economic portion of President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan. Al-Sharq al-Awsat, 20 May 2019).

  2. (Prior to the Bahrain workshop, and on 22/06/2019, Kushner revealed details of the economic portion of the peace plan. The plan includes the creation of a $50 billion international investment fund to revive the Palestinian economy and the economies of neighboring Arab countries, in addition to building a transport corridor connecting the West Bank and the Gaza Strip worth five billion dollars. France 24, 24/06/2019).

  3. (On 25/06/2019, the Bahrain Conference, called for by Manama and Washington, was held. It is known as the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop, aimed at encouraging investment in the Palestinian territories... BBC Arabic, 25/06/2019).

  4. (Jared Kushner, senior advisor and son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, opened the "Bahrain Workshop" in Manama, which is an economic development forum specific to Palestine... Kushner revealed some details of the American development plan in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, estimated at $50 billion, noting that there is a possibility of doubling the Palestinians' GDP and creating job opportunities... RT Agencies, 25/06/2019).

  5. (Jared Kushner, advisor to the U.S. President, said: "Washington will announce the political solution plan when it is ready." Kushner added in a statement today, Wednesday: "The Bahrain conference shows that the Middle East problem can be solved economically," as he claimed... This came in statements following the conclusion of the Bahrain Economic Workshop, which began yesterday, Tuesday, and continued until today in the Bahraini capital, Manama... Al-Alam Channel website, 26/06/2019).

  6. The closing statement included: (Participants in the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop called on Wednesday evening for the promotion of development and investment for the benefit of the Palestinian people to achieve economic prosperity... The statement mentioned that the workshop concluded its work with "great optimism about economic development and investment for the benefit of the Palestinian people." The discussions on the final day focused on "development and investment for the benefit of the Palestinian people to achieve economic prosperity and diversify opportunities... The discussions also focused on developing the workforce through women's empowerment and the importance of effective communication with youth facing high unemployment rates... The economic plan presented by Kushner aims to inject investments into the Palestinian territories worth $28 billion, and allocate other investments (grants and subsidized loans) worth $22 billion in Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon, which are countries hosting Palestinian refugees... Anadolu Agency, 27/06/2019).

Thus, the conference is an entry point to prepare the atmosphere for passing the "Deal of the Century" when it is announced. In other words, it is a financial bribe in the Trumpian style for the treasonous rulers of the region, both Arab and non-Arab, to swallow Trump’s deal, which is fatal for their countries... Do they not understand?!

Second: The Deal of the Century and the Leaks:

  1. America has adopted the two-state solution project since 1959 during the era of Eisenhower, who launched this project. He moved Abdul Nasser to implement it, through whom America created the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) led by Ahmad al-Shukeiri in 1964. After Shukeiri left the organization following the 1967 defeat, Britain, through its agent King Hussein and with the support of the Gulf states, managed in 1968 to place Yasser Arafat at the head of the PLO. Arafat had been calling for the British solution—the project of a secular Palestinian state—when he founded Fatah in 1965 with the support of these agents. However, he abandoned the call for the British solution under pressure from American agents Anwar Sadat in Egypt and Hafez al-Assad in Syria and adopted the American solution. Accordingly, the Arab League recognized the PLO in 1974 as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and it was also recognized by the United Nations, entering as an observer member. In 1988, Arafat officially announced his recognition of the Jewish entity and his acceptance of their usurpation of about 80% of Palestine when he declared the establishment of the State of Palestine and officially accepted the American project by saying "two states for two peoples in Palestine." Then the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993, and the establishment of a Palestinian Authority led by the PLO was announced, with a Palestinian state to be established by 1999. Despite this, America was unable to implement it throughout the Clinton era. When George W. Bush came, the Arab League adopted what was called the Saudi Initiative in 2002, labeled the Arab Initiative, which states the readiness of Arab countries to recognize the Jewish entity if they accept a Palestinian state alongside them. Following this, in 2003, America issued the Road Map project, which stipulated the establishment of a Palestinian state by 2005 and created the Middle East Quartet; yet, it still failed to establish this state. It put all its weight during the era of former President Obama to apply the two-state solution by resuming negotiations twice, in 2009 and 2013, but they failed. Thus, all American presidents worked to implement the two-state solution project but failed. Until Trump came, America saw its inability to implement its two-state project and wanted to replace or modify it. Congress had issued a resolution in 1995 recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish entity, but it made the decision non-binding for the President, leaving any future American president the right to implement the decision whenever they wished.

  2. Trump began walking this path after taking the constitutional oath. He said in a speech that the two-state solution is not the only way to end the (Israeli)-Palestinian conflict, indicating that he is open to alternative options if they lead to peace. Trump said, "I’m looking at two-state and one-state, and if (Israel) and the Palestinians are happy, I’m happy with the one they like the best. I can live with either one" (Al Jazeera, 16/02/2017). Then indicators of the line Trump is following followed: Trump moved the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in September 2017, meaning Trump announced his approval for Jerusalem to be part of the Zionist entity in his plan. After that, Trump spoke about pushing the conflict between Palestine and the Zionist entity forward through a "final deal" or the "Deal of the Century." Then Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump and senior advisor, and Jason Greenblatt, the President's special envoy to the Middle East, took over the promotion of the Deal of the Century. Kushner traveled to many countries in February 2019 to gain support for the plan; he met with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He also met Erdogan in Ankara on 27 April 2019, then met the leaders of the UAE, Bahrain, and Oman. These visits focused on gaining support from the rulers in the region. The Trump administration then promised that the plan would be delivered during the UN General Assembly in New York in September 2018... but it was postponed to early 2019 due to the postponement of elections in the Jewish entity until May 2019. Then by the month of Ramadan, Trump announced that it would be declared after Ramadan in June 2019. Now it has been postponed to November 2019 after the Jewish elections. Trump was "annoyed" with Netanyahu for not resolving the elections the first time, leading to a second round and thus postponing the announcement of his deal. (Trump, in a press statement made in front of the White House upon his departure for Britain, described the political situation in "Israel"—which is heading toward new elections next September after Netanyahu failed to form a government before the deadline last Wednesday—as "chaotic"... He said: "Bibi got elected, and now all of a sudden they’re going to throw it into another election in September. That is ridiculous, and we are not happy about it." Russia Today, 03/06/2019).

Thus, Trump prepared his plan while being delighted with it, parading it around, thinking that where his predecessors failed with the two-state solution, he will succeed with the Deal of the Century... But it will, by the will of Allah, fail just as the two-state solution failed.

Third: Regarding the non-disclosure of the deal and the leaks:

  1. Trump forgets or ignores that Palestine holds a position of great significance in the hearts and minds of Muslims; therefore, they will not accept that deal but will reject it as a slap. Nevertheless, Trump thought his billions in his economic project would be a carrot he throws to tempt the people of Palestine into agreeing. For this reason, he did not announce its details and made the Bahrain conference precede his Deal of the Century to prepare the atmosphere for its acceptance!

  2. As for the leaks about the Deal of the Century, yes, there are leaks, and it appears their leaking was intentional, and they are close to what is being prepared in the Deal of the Century. Most of these leaks were reported by the Jewish newspaper Israel Hayom on 07/05/2019. The newspaper is owned by Sheldon Adelson, one of the major financial backers of Trump's election campaign and someone also close to Netanyahu. Among these leaks are the following:

[- "The Agreement: A tripartite agreement is signed between ‘Israel,’ the PLO, and Hamas, and a Palestinian state called ‘New Palestine’ is established on the lands of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, excluding the existing Jewish settlements.

  • Evacuation of Land: Settlement blocs remain as they are, and isolated settlement blocs are annexed to them, extending and connecting with each other, remaining in the hands of the Jewish entity.

  • Jerusalem: It will not be divided and will be shared between ‘Israel’ and Palestine. Arab residents will be transferred to become residents of New Palestine, not (Israelis). The Jerusalem municipality will be comprehensive and responsible for all areas of Jerusalem except for education, which New Palestine will handle. New Palestine will pay the Jewish Jerusalem municipality the Arnona tax (property tax imposed on users of buildings and lands) and for water.

  • Gaza: Egypt will grant new lands to Palestine to establish an airport, factories, and for commercial exchange and agriculture, without allowing Palestinians to reside there.

  • The Military: New Palestine is prohibited from having an army; the only weapon will be police weapons... Hamas will dismantle all its weapons and armaments, including individual ones, and hand them over to the Egyptians. Hamas men will instead receive monthly salaries from Arab countries... One year after the agreement, elections for a Palestinian government will be held... and one year after the elections, all prisoners will be released gradually over three years.

  • Within five years, a seaport and a Palestinian airport will be established; until then, Palestinians will use the airports and ports of ‘Israel’... The border between Palestine and ‘Israel’ remains open as they are friendly states... A suspension bridge rising 30 meters above the ground will be built to connect Gaza and the West Bank; the task will be assigned to a Chinese company with China contributing 50%, Japan 10%, South Korea 10%, Australia 10%, Canada 10%, and the US and EU together 10%... The Jordan Valley remains in ‘Israel’s’ hands as it is today, and Route 90 turns into a four-lane road, with ‘Israel’ overseeing its construction; two lanes of it will be for Palestinians under their supervision, connecting Palestine to Jordan... etc."]

Although these leaks are unofficial, the fact they were leaked by a Jewish newspaper whose owner, Sheldon Adelson, is a major financier of Trump's campaign and close to Netanyahu, means many of these leaks reflect the views of Trump and his inner circle. It is clear they are deeply treasonous toward the Blessed Land to a degree that even the traitorous Arab and non-Arab rulers find difficult to accept. They accept the two-state solution, which is also a betrayal because all of Palestine is an Islamic land that must return to its people without relinquishing an inch of it; otherwise, it is treason. So what about the two-state solution that loses most of Palestine?! But the traitorous Arab and non-Arab rulers accept this solution and justify it by saying it keeps for them something of a state and a flag to boast of! As for Trump's deal, it leaves them with nothing significant. Kushner, Trump's advisor, said: "The Deal of the Century may be devoid of a two-state solution, and Jerusalem will be Israel's eternal capital" (BBC, 02/05/2019). Even the "settlements" in the West Bank will continue to eat away what remains of the West Bank, which does not exceed 12%, and this part is under the military authority of the Jewish state!...

Fourth: Regarding the likelihood of Trump's deal succeeding, there is no success... Even its author, despite his bluster, expects its failure (Trump also said that his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo might be right in his assessment that the U.S. administration's long-awaited peace plan for the Middle East might fail. The Washington Post quoted Pompeo as telling a group of Jewish leaders in New York that the long-delayed plan might not "gain traction." Times of Israel: 03/06/2019).

Trump's stupidity has made him fail to realize that Palestine is not for sale or purchase. It is the first Qiblah of the Muslims, and its mosque is the third of the mosques to which journeys are made, and the place of the Messenger's (saw) Night Journey (Isra). It will be liberated by the armies of the Muslims, by the will of Allah, with the Takbirs of the soldiers escorting them and the Eagle Banner (Rayat al-Uqab) shading them. Even if Trump today finds among the Ruwaybidah rulers and their followers those whose souls yearn for filthy money, he will find tomorrow nothing but the unsheathed swords of the Khilafah, by the will of Allah, to fight the Jews and their supporters among the colonialist disbelievers. Then, Palestine will be liberated from the Jews and their supporters just as it was liberated from the Crusaders. Indeed, tomorrow is near for the one who awaits it... and it is coming by the will of Allah. Muslim narrated in his Sahih on the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) who said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ الْيَهُودَ فَيَقْتُلهُمْ الْمُسْلِمُونَ...

"The Hour will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them..."

وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُ بَعْدَ حِينٍ

"And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." (Surah Sad [38]: 88)
