وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاء وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقًا
"And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions." (Surah An-Nisa [4]: 69)
With faith in Allah’s decree (Qadaa) and destiny (Qadar), the Ameer of Hizb ut-Tahrir and the Head of the Board of Grievances (Diwan al-Mazhalim) announce the passing of:
Dr. Ayed al-Sha’rawi, one of the virtuous and righteous members of the Board, by Allah’s permission. He departed from this fleeting world to the eternal abode of the Hereafter on the morning of this Sunday, 23rd of Dhu al-Qi’dah 1431 AH, corresponding to 31/10/2010 CE, at Al-Maqassed Hospital in Beirut.
He was, may Allah have mercy on him, one who stood firmly by the truth and never abandoned it, not fearing the blame of any critic for the sake of Allah; and we do not sanctify anyone before Allah. He possessed great depth in investigating any case presented to the Board, where he and his brothers would grasp the reality of the matter, accord it its proper status, and judge upon it alongside his brothers according to the right judgment. His eyes were always looking towards that goal: a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous (Muttaqin).
O dear one, we are truly saddened by your departure, but we say nothing except that which pleases Allah, the Lord of the worlds: "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return."
