O Propagating Da'iyat Sisters,
Gathered at the Hizb ut Tahrir Conference in Indonesia,
O Noble Women,
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh (Peace, Mercy, and Blessings of Allah be upon you).
All praise is due to Allah, abundant praise. Peace and blessings be upon him whom Allah sent as a bearer of glad tidings and a Warner, and upon his pure family, his righteous companions, and those who follow him (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and support him upon the manifest truth until the Day of Judgment. Amma Ba'd (Thereafter).
Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says: {وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلاً مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ} (And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims.")
And the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, he says: «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ» (For whomever Allah wills goodness, He grants him understanding of the Deen [religion]). Agreed upon.
O Noble Sisters:
This blessed conference has pleased me greatly—the conference for Da'wah (call) to Allah, the conference for attaining deep understanding (Tafaqquh) in the Deen, held in the good land of Indonesia. Through this, souls are revived, hearts find peace, and insights are illuminated, especially since this conference is led by the sisters of men (sisters/counterparts), the mothers of heroes, and the educators of generations: {وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ } (And for that let the competitors compete).
Praise be to Allah that He has made you guides and rightly guided, following the straight path that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) outlined for the male and female companions (Sahabah and Sahabiyat). They all, men and and women alike, hastened to do good deeds, saying: {**رَبَّنَا وَآَتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لا أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ **} (Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise." And their Lord responded to them, "Indeed, I do not allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another.)
O Noble Sisters:
I will not prolong my speech to you, but I urge you to remember four matters which you must keep before your eyes. Allah is with you and will never diminish the reward of your deeds:
The First Matter: The obligation of calling to Islam in its entirety: in its Aqeedah (creed), its acts of worship, the establishment of its State (Dawlah), and all its Shariah rulings: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً} (O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely). Here, As-Silm (peace/submission) means Islam—meaning, enter into the entirety of Islam. Therefore, call to it and work according to it. It is not permissible to take one part and leave another, for He who obligated Prayer (Salah), Zakat, Hajj, and Fasting (Sawm) is the same (Glorified is He) who obligated the Bay’ah (pledge of allegiance) to the Khalifah (Caliph), the implementation of Hudud (prescribed punishments), and the execution of all other rulings.
The Second Matter: The obligation to work towards resuming the Islamic way of life by establishing the Khilafah Rashida (Rightly Guided Caliphate). This is an obligation (fard) upon both men and women, based on what they are capable of doing, and the Shariah texts concerning this are abundant. Indeed, women participated alongside men in the foundational establishment of the State—the Second Pledge of Aqabah—where seventy-three men and two women pledged allegiance (Baya'h) to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): Umm Umarah and Umm Mani' (May Allah be pleased with both of them).
The Third Matter: Spreading the culture of Izzah (Might/Honour): {وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ} (But honor belongs to Allah and to His Messenger and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know). And the culture of pride in belonging to the noble Islamic Ummah (Nation); the one with a long history in civilization, the liberation of oppressed peoples, and a glorious history of victories that illuminated the corners of the world: {وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ} (And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might). By this, we preserve our distinct Islamic identity and our pioneering role as witnesses over mankind: {لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ} (That the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people).
The Fourth Matter: The Muslim woman and the Muslim family are targeted by the campaigns of the Kuffar (unbelievers) and their agents, in addition to the targeting of the Islamic Aqeedah, its sanctities, symbols, and rulings. Therefore, the voices of the Da'iyat must be raised in denouncing the interference of the Kuffar in the affairs of Muslim women through deceptive slogans they raise, whose appearance is mercy but whose hidden reality is torment. Examples include slogans like women's rights, women's liberation, population conferences, "gender", and family planning. All of this targets Muslim women and their adherence to the rulings of the upright Sharia. So, foil their schemes, and let them see from you firmness in stance and steadfastness upon the truth—the magnificent religion of Islam, by which Allah honored women and elevated their status, making them pure, chaste, and a strong, righteous foundation stone in the magnificent structure of Islam. This is what Muslim women are, and how excellent they are.
O Noble Sisters:
I wish your conference success and divine guidance, and may Allah (Glorified is He) place its good deeds in the balance of your good deeds on the Day when neither wealth nor sons will benefit, except for he who comes to Allah with a sound heart. I hereby open your conference in the Name of Allah. May it proceed with the blessings of Allah.
And Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh (And Peace, Mercy, and Blessings of Allah be upon you).
