Message from the Ameer of Hizb ut-Tahrir to the Da'wah Carriers

March 01, 2018

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and those who follow him. To proceed:

Dear brothers, honorable da'wah carriers,

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

I have previously written to you: (I do not wish to prevent you from looking at those "black pages," nor do I command or forbid you from doing so. However, what I do command you and insist upon is that you do not send any of those "black pages" to me. I want to occupy myself with the excellence of the journey and the uprightness of the path, so that the caravan may reach, carrying a torch of light, its heartland, the Rightly Guided Khilafah, by the permission of Allah, at a time decreed and predestined by Him. For every term, there is a decree... and I ask Allah (swt) that this term is not far off:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا

"Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent." (Surah At-Talaq 65:3)).

I would have preferred that you did not occupy yourselves with responding to those people, for they are like worthless refuse; whenever you turn it over and look into it, you give it life and it distracts you from what is better... but I have learned that you are frequently responding to them!

I realize that you were responding to them to clarify their fabrications and lies, hoping your answer might clarify the truth for them so they could benefit and cease their transgression. However, this would apply if they were making those fabrications out of ignorance and not intentionally. But they speak lies deliberately and willfully, just as their predecessors did... they wanted answers and responses, so we said to them at the time: (The one who utters these fabrications is one of two: one who speaks lies deliberately and willfully, and this person did not speak them seeking an answer to benefit from; and another who speaks them while lacking both physical and spiritual sight, and for him, no answer is of use). These people are just like those who came before them...

I also realize that you were responding to them out of fear that their fabrications might affect the Party and cause it harm, or affect the Party's leadership in the eyes of those who see their "black pages." This will not happen, by the permission of Allah:

  • As for their impact on the Party: Those stronger and more numerous than them have tried... the colonialist kuffar tried, their oppressive agents tried, and the intelligence agencies of both tried. Yet, they all lost their bet and died in their rage. The Party remains standing, established on the truth; it is not harmed by those who fail it, nor by those who fall from the caravan while it is moving swiftly without weakening or faltering. Rather, it moves in a straight line with no crookedness, by the permission of Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

  • As for the leadership of the Party: It is steadfast on the truth by the permission of Allah. Its resolve does not weaken, and its determination does not soften. It ascends from peak to peak, unaffected by any failure or heckler. Rather, it is certain that victory is coming, if Allah wills, but at the hands of the righteous and pure, like the companions of the Messenger of Allah (saw). This is because the victory will be a Khilafah on the method of Prophethood—that is, like the first Khilafah established at the hands of those noble companions (ra). Therefore, whenever those with sickness in their hearts fall away from the journey, victory has, by Allah’s permission, drawn closer...

Thus, do not fear for the Party or its leadership from those people—neither from the croaking of their elders nor the bleating of their youth. Just as He (swt) said to His Messenger (saw):

إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ

"Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers." (Surah Al-Hijr 15:95)

We are certain that Allah will suffice His believing servants against the evil of the mockers, fabricators, and liars. Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty, and He (swt) protects the righteous...

Honorable brothers, noble da'wah carriers,

Always remember these two noble verses:

  • "Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful." (Surah Al-Hajj 22:38). What defense can stand against the defense of Allah, the Avenger, the Compeller...? And His saying (swt): "Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand." (Surah Ghafir 40:51). Allah does not only support His messengers, but also "those who believe." And victory is not only "on the Day when the witnesses will stand," i.e., in the Afterlife with Allah's pleasure and the Gardens of Firdaws, but also "during the life of this world" with glory and empowerment... So do not despair, brothers, of the mercy of Allah no matter how great the hardship becomes. Rather, hardship is a sign of relief, and the darkness of night is a sign of the dawn's arrival:

فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا * إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

"For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease." (Surah Ash-Sharh 94:5-6)

And one hardship cannot overcome two eases.

Returning to the beginning: just as I commanded you (not to send any of those "black pages" to me), I also prefer that you do not occupy yourselves with responding to them, for they are too insignificant for that. Occupy yourselves with the matter of the da'wah and its elevation, and leave those people to wander blindly in their transgression...

Fill your pages with what raises the status of the da'wah... fill your pages with what pushes the work forward... fill your pages with what benefits the people... fill your pages with exposing the conspiracies of the colonialist kuffar, their oppressive agents, and their intelligence services who pursue the believing servants of Allah... and do not occupy yourselves with the matter of worthless refuse, for they are too insignificant for you to be busy with. Do not be deceived by the numbers on their pages; they are like one who writes "one" and then places another "one" after it, making it appear as eleven or a hundred and eleven! In any case, whoever they may be, we praise Allah that among them is no active member (udw 'amil) of the Party. Rather, they are either a covenant-breaker (nakith), one who has left, or one who has been disciplined; or a hypocrite who displays love and praise for the Party while simultaneously consuming the orphan's wealth and plotting against the Party, its leadership, and all its officials... All of this is evidence of the Party's purity and clarity, and the steadfastness of its leadership in obedience to Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw), and we do not sanctify anyone before Allah.

In conclusion, here are two messages for those who reflect to realize where the consequence lies:

First, to the colonialist kuffar, their agents, and their intelligence services: They should not rejoice in this fitna that has occurred, which is not far from their fingers and threads—whether they were the tailors who wove and stitched it with their own hands, or whether they merely cast their nets and threads and those lacking sight and insight caught them, leading to what happened... I say to them not to rejoice in their fitna, for Allah, the Avenger and Compeller, is on the watch for the people of evil:

حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْلِسُونَ

"Until, [just] as they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair." (Surah Al-An'am 6:44)

If those evil people were wise, they would have learned from previous instances of covenant-breaking (nakth) where the Party only increased in strength and support afterward; but they do not understand.

Second, to the people of the fitna: In a discussion with some of my companions about them, it was mentioned that some of these people deserve dismissal (fasl). This is true, but I preferred that it not happen, and that the punishment of total neglect and its generalization be sufficient. Perhaps they might restrain themselves, or repent and seek forgiveness and return the orphan's wealth they betrayed—return it to its rightful owners... even if all that is unlikely from people who have become habituated to deviation and fitna, but:

مَعْذِرَةً إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

"To be absolved before your Lord and perhaps they may fear Him." (Surah Al-A'raf 7:164)

In final conclusion, I repeat: (I prefer that you do not occupy yourselves with responding to those people, for they are like worthless refuse; whenever you turn it over and look into it, you give it life and it distracts you from what is better...). I ask Allah (swt) to protect us from the evil of what He has decreed, to protect us from the evil of all His creatures, to honor us with His glory, and to grant us a victory that brings peace to the hearts and joy to the chests, pleasing the onlookers. And that is not difficult for Allah.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
